Deploy Group Policy Preferences Client Side Extensions via WSUS

With the acquisition of DesktopStandard a couple years ago Microsoft has slowly brought some of their technologies back to the market.  First was GPOVault which can only be obtained via the Desktop Optimization Pack.  Now, with the release of Windows Server 2008 and the Remote Server Administration Tools for Vista SP1 later this Spring you'll be able to do more with Group Policy.  Group Policy Preferences add some useful new abilities such as management of the local administrator account, deployment of shared & local printers, and more.  So if you have implemented WSUS you can now optionally approve the deployment of the required Client Side Extensions for Windows XP, Vista, and Server 2003.
